Sonia Leigh
Sonia Leigh is a genre blending singer, songwriter, and producer whose music spans country, rock, pop, and hip-hop. She broke onto the national scene in 2011 with her debut album 1978 December on Zac Brown’s Southern Ground Records, and her single “My Name Is Money” reached #36 on the Billboard Hot 100. She also penned two Zac Brown Band #1 Country Airplay hits, “Goodbye In Her Eyes” and “Sweet Annie,” from the Grammy-winning album Uncaged.
Known for her musical versatility, Leigh has released projects ranging from co-producing her full length 2018 album Mad Hatter to rock driven singles like “Thin Ice” and “Beautiful Mess.” (Featuring her side project Rob The Man) In 2020, she re-released her song “1978 December,” this time produced by Queen’s Roger Taylor. Her music has been featured across film, television, sports, and video games, and she has shared the stage with artists including Eric Church, Melissa Etheridge, Willie Nelson, Loretta Lynn, and Joan Jett.
Leigh continues to explore new creative lanes through multiple projects, including the hip-hop/rock duo’s TYGR TYGR and Indica Girlz (under her alias ELYVN ELYVN). Her 2025 single “Never Stopped” channels a Motown-inspired soul sound, leading into her 2025 highly anticipated album release Songs About Ghosts, a return to her country and Americana roots that showcases her signature genre defying style.
